MOTOR FUEL TAX Funds

The state of Illinois is more than $181 million behind in monthly distribution of motor fuel tax revenue to municipal, county and township governments as a result of the ongoing budget deadlock. None of the money has been paid because of the lack of state spending authority,  as reported by the State Journal-Register.
