MEDIA TRENDS

This week Gannett and Tribune split off their newspaper groups from broadcast/digital properties. The companies now join a long line of media companies splitting publishing from broadcasting.  In his blog, media observer Jeff Jarvis says newspapers have 24-36 months remaining before before the circulation of print newspapers fall below critical mass for certain advertisers.
