BIODIESEL KUDOS

BOOST BIODIESEL VOLUMES

A bipartisan group of 36 senators want the Environmental Protection Agency to raise the proposed volumes it set for biodiesel production under the federal Renewable Fuel Standard. The senators said the EPA’s delays in setting biodiesel volumes led to tremendous uncertainty and hardship for U.S. biodiesel producers.

RENEWABLE FUELS

Iowa’s support for renewable fuels has been officially confirmed: 77 percent of registered voters surveyed said they support expanding the federal Renewable Fuel Standard to increase biodiesel in the fuel supply.

RFS UPDATE

A group of biofuel producers representing some 117 biodiesel companies and other farm groups have written a letter to President Obama highlighting that biodiesel output will meet or even go beyond RFS production mandates this year.  They say a cut to the RFS would lead to production losses and worker layoffs.
