DIGITAL AG GROWING

In its latest earnings report, Monsanto says it expects total acres enrolled in its Climate Corp. services to rise by one-fifth to 90 million US acres this year, helped by partnerships with farm supply retailers and equipment companies like Deere. However, only 7% of acres are enrolled for premium services.

BIG DATA GROWS

The Climate Corporation has announced that farmers have mapped more than 75 million row crop acres in their digital agriculture platform, up from 50 million acres in 2014. It now represents nearly 45 percent of all corn and soybean acres planted in the U.S.
