Scholarships

Ag Leadership Scholarships

McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation offers scholarships to students pursuing agricultural careers. Scholarships may be awarded in three categories:

  • High School Seniors
  • College/University students
  • Technical or Trade School students
Please note: Heartland Community College & Illinois State University Students are NOT eligible for Ag Leadership Scholarships, but are eligible for the Homegrown Ag Scholarships (see below)

McLean County Beef Association Scholarships

McLean County Beef Association offers scholarships to students pursuing agricultural careers. Scholarships may be awarded in two categories:

  • High School Seniors
  • College, University, Technical or Trade School students

Beef Scholarship Guidelines:

One application & one recommendation form can be used to apply for both Ag Leadership & McLean County Beef scholarships!

Homegrown Ag Scholarships

Homegrown Ag Scholarships are available to McLean County students who meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate of a McLean County High School and resident of McLean County
  • McLean County Farm Bureau member or dependent of a member
  • Full time student pursuing an agriculture degree or certificate at Heartland Community College or Illinois State University
  • Eligible students at Heartland Community College will receive $500 per semester for up to 4 semesters (or 60 credit hours)
  • Eligible students at Illinois State University will receive $500 per semester for up to 4 semesters (or 60 credit hours) and $1,000 per semester for up to 4 semesters (61 – 120 credit hours)
