What’s cropping up in McLean County?

Corn and soybeans are McLean County’s top crops. In fact, our local farmers consistently grow more corn and soybeans than any other county in the United States thanks to our size, soil and climate.

McLean County farmers also grow wheat, hay and specialty crops like pumpkins, fruits and vegetables.

Where’s the beef and bacon?

The majority of McLean County farmers grow row crops only, but some have livestock and others specialize in livestock only. McLean County livestock farmers raise beef cattle, dairy cattle, pigs, poultry, sheep, goats and even llamas.
