WIDE-RANGING YIELDS

It appears this season will go down as one with high variability. Many farmers who received rainfall in a timely manner are set up for a bumper crop, while those who missed the rains could be looking at average crops. That variability was on display in eastern Illinois, for example, where the Pro Farmer Tour found yields ranging from just 75 bushels to 236 bushels per acre. (FarmWeekNow.com)
