2018 Golden Clover Winners

Four dedicated supporters of 4-H and the McLean County Fair received recognition as 2018 Golden Clover Award winners:

  • Joyce Yoder was honored as a Golden Clover for her service as the leader, volunteer and project superintendent. She also served as a 4-H camp and state fair chaperone as well as teaching generations of 4-Hers baking basics.
  • Tom Guth was recognized for his hard work as a livestock superintendent and judge at the McLean County Fair and Illinois State Fair. He also volunteered as a 4-H Club leader and served on the 4-H Show committee.
  • Carolyn Hansen received the Special Clover recognition her work supporting 4-H clubs and working to expand the 4-H program in McLean County.  Hansen served as the 4-H Youth Development Educator-Metro for McLean County. Her role included work with the Unity Community Center and Special Interest or SPIN clubs.
  • Fred Robb was recognized as an Emerald Clover for his work as a club leader for the Shirley Hot Shots 4-H Club for more than 30 years and help with fair activities.

McLean County Farm Bureau President, Fred Grieder, presented the awards Wed., Aug. 1 during the 4-H Royalty Contest at the Fair.
