GOV. RAUNER SIGNS LAW TO EASE ILLINOIS’ TEACHER SHORTAGE –

GOV. RAUNER SIGNS LAW TO EASE ILLINOIS’ TEACHER SHORTAGE – Through HB 5627, introduced by State Rep. Tom Bennett, out-of-state teachers will have an easier time obtaining an Illinois teaching license. The bill also allows retired teachers back into the classroom 120 days a year without affecting their pensions. Before HB 5627, retired teachers were limited to just 100 days without penalty.
