U.S., CHINA TRADE TENSIONS WORRY FARMERS –

U.S., CHINA TRADE TENSIONS WORRY FARMERS – Beijing’s threat to impose new tariffs on soybeans has Midwestern farmers on edge as spring planting gets underway. “My concerns are any time trade issues develop, that’s not good for agriculture,” said Chris Hausman, a former IFB director. “We export a large percentage of our soybeans that we raise, and corn for that matter.” China has threatened to slap a 25 percent tariff on soybean imports if current trade talks fail.
