HEMP BILL HEADS TO THE GOV –

HEMP BILL HEADS TO THE GOV – The Illinois House Wednesday voted 106-3 to allow hemp cultivation for commercial use. The Illinois Stewardship Alliance says the move could add hundreds of new jobs and up to $100 million in revenue for the state. President Barack Obama opened the door for states to grow industrial hemp in 2015; it was banned nationwide in 1937 for its relation to marijuana. (State Journal-Register)
