WHEAT OPTIMISM

A little sunshine and a lot of rain have the wheat crop in southern Illinois starting to green up after some farmers spent the winter wondering whether their crop would survive. “I feel a little bit better (about the wheat) than we did a month ago,” said Madison County farmer Kyle Brase.
