#HUNTING AN ECONOMIC DRIVER IN IL

More than 50,000 hunters travel to Illinois annually – spending about $1.3 billion at restaurants, gas stations, and shops – making the Illinois hunting season an economic driver for the state. According to the Illinois Retail Merchants Association, the average hunter spends about $2,400 per year in Illinois, contributing to an industry that adds 18,000 jobs to the state’s economy.
