Missouri Thursday announced it would ban the use of BASF’s Engenia herbicide in 10 counties starting June 1, 2018. The ban will expand statewide on July 15 and end in October. Missouri said it expects to impose similar bans on dicamba herbicides sold by Monsanto and DuPont in coming weeks. In neighboring Arkansas, Monsanto last week asked a judge to stop the state’s plan to ban dicamba use. The ban, issued by the Arkansas State Plant Board, still must be approved by a legislative panel.
