CLOVIS OWNS UP TO CREDENTIALS

The 2008 farm bill specifies that appointees to the USDA chief scientist position should be chosen from a field of “distinguished scientists” with experience in agricultural research, education and economics. Nominee Sam Clovis confirmed in a recent letter to Sen. Debbie Stabenow he doesn’t meet those standards, but does have teaching and research experience, and experience in agriculture gained as a political candidate in Iowa. (Washington Post)
