#AGRONOMIST: COMBINATION OF FACTORS LED TO HIGH #CORN YIELDS

Now that the #harvest dust has settled in most areas, farmers are wondering where all this corn came from. University of Illinois Extension’s Emerson Nafziger said several factors played a role in the surprisingly good yields in some areas. Crop condition ratings during the growing season were some of the lowest on the decade. “Of the 36 seasons I’ve been here, this may be the most surprising one,” Nafziger said. (FarmWeekNow.com)
