IFB EXPLAINS FARMER’S ‘BUREAUCRATIC NIGHTMARE’ IN D.C.

IFB staff recently accompanied an Ogle County farmer to Washington, D.C., to share his story of installing a grassed waterway with approval from one federal agency, only to be told by another that he violated the Clean Water Act. “This is one farmer caught in a bureaucratic nightmare with three federal agencies who all want something different,” said Lauren Lurkins, IFB director of natural and environmental sciences. IFB wants to hear form other farmers with similar stories. (FarmWeekNow.com)
