Anticipating that Hurricane Irma will “devastate” parts of the U.S., FEMA officials are preparing a massive response to the storm, the head of the agency said Friday. Irma is set to make landfall in southern Florida Saturday night, with parts of Florida expected to lose power for days and more than 100,000 people potentially needing shelter. Ranchers and farmers along the Florida coast also are preparing for the Category 5 storm, moving cattle to higher ground and securing rail cars and farming equipment.
