The U.S. EPA next week will reject a proposed change to the RFS which would have shifted responsibility for blending biofuels from refiners to other entities further down the supply chain, according to Reuters. Refiners had for years petitioned the EPA to make the change, saying they didn’t have the facilities needed to blend the fuels. Ethanol producers lobbied against the proposed change, saying it would undermine biofuels policy by making it too complicated.
