According to Dennis Bowman, University of Illinois crop systems educator, wild weather swings in the Midwest this growing season means crops likely won’t measure up to record yields observed in recent years. “We’ve kind of gotten used to exceptional yields the last few years,” Bowman said. “This crop is still maybe a little better than average.
