#Illinois may finally have a budget, but it still hasn’t passed the required legislation to fund public education. The budget approved two weeks ago included funding for education but requires the General Assembly to pass an accompanying bill that alters the funding formula for the state’s schools. Gov. Bruce Rauner has said he will veto the legislation because it unfairly pushes extra money to Chicago’s public schools. (Pantagraph)
