Stories about dicamba drift will be bigger than NAFTA renegotiations, the failing farm economy, or President Donald Trump’s cuts to the USDA budget according to  Herald & Review’s Stu Ellis, who dissected this year’s dicamba drama in his latest column. More important than potential damage to this year’s plants, Ellis says, is the damage that could be unknowingly done to next year’s seed. “…seed for 2018 could carry genetic problems that would not be detectable until fields were planted next year…The liability could be overwhelming.”
