UNPOPULAR THEN, UNPOPULAR NOW

Americans are nor more likely to view Hillary Clinton favorably than they were before last year’s presidential election, according to a recent Gallup poll. At 41% favorable, Clinton’s rating is unchanged since before election day. Over the past quarter century, the favorable ratings of losing presidential candidates generally have increased after the election – anywhere from four to 16 points – but that has not been the case for Clinton.
