Saturated Buffer Sites Needed

In partnership with Illinois Land Improvement Contractors Association, McLean County Soil & Water Conservation District is looking for one to three suitable sites to install saturated buffers after fall 2017 harvest.

Farmers can take advantage of cost share programs to offset the installation costs.

A grass filter strip or buffer strip can be enrolled or re-enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) as a saturated grass filter strip or saturated buffer.

Saturated buffers can be also be installed through the USDA NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).

For more information, please contact Adrienne Marino at (309) 636-3322 to discuss opportunities.
