#PLANT17 AHEAD OF SCHEDULE BEFORE RAIN

Many farmers burned the midnight oil, literally, to plant crops before rain delays returned across much of the state the second half of last week. Farmers planted more than one-quarter of the corn crop (29%) last week, according to USDA. In fact, some had even finished planning corn before the rain began.
