MCFB Leadership Scholarship Winners

Four McLean County students will receive $1,000 to pursue an ag-related career as winners of the 2016-17 McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation Leadership Scholarships.

  • Nyla Maere,Normal Community West High School Senior, plans to study Animal Science and Agribusiness at Oklahoma State University.
  • Carley Zimmerman, Ridgeview High School Senior, plans to major in Agricultural Education in the Parkland College Pathways to University of Illinois program.
  • Brian Davis, senior at Iowa State University studying Agricultural Systems Technology. Davis graduated from Normal Community High School.
  • Jill Parrent, sophomore at Iowa State University, majoring in Agriculture and Society. Parrent is a graduate of Normal Community West High School.

McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation awards the Leadership Scholarships annually to support the next generation of leaders.

Each student will receive $1,000 to use for educational expenses as they pursue ag-related careers. Recipients are selected based on leadership and an interest in agriculture.

The Foundation is funded by voluntary donations from Farm Bureau members and local supporters. To donate online, click here.
