GRAND BARGAIN STALLS AGAIN

With just three weeks left in the spring legislative session, the Illinois Senate’s ‘Grand Bargain’ budget deal again stalled after Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno refused to call for a vote on workers’ compensation reform and property tax freeze bills. Senate President John Cullerton said the bills would have passed had Radogno called them for a vote; Radogno said the bills weren’t yet ready. (State Journal-Register)
