With just three weeks left in the spring legislative session, the Illinois Senate’s ‘Grand Bargain’ budget deal again stalled after Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno refused to call for a vote on workers’ compensation reform and property tax freeze bills. Senate President John Cullerton said the bills would have passed had Radogno called them for a vote; Radogno said the bills weren’t yet ready. (State Journal-Register)
