EPA head Scott Pruitt Friday said he will replace half of the members on the EPA’s 18-member Board of Scientific Counselors, which advises the agency’s scientific arm on whether the research it does is complete and fair. An EPA spokesman said the move was made to bring in fresh advisers and make “a clean break with the last administration’s approach.” (Washington Post)
