LAWMAKERS’ PAY SHOULDN’T GET PRIORITY

A Cook County judge Thursday didn’t move state lawmakers’ paychecks to the front of Illinois’ long line of unpaid bills, but did agree to hear another set of arguments next week. Democratic lawmakers late last year filed a lawsuit after then-Comptroller Leslie Munger and Gov. Bruce Rauner decided that lawmakers should wait for their paychecks like Illinois vendors have during the state’s budget stalemate. (Chicago Tribune)
