#EPA TO ROLL BACK FUEL-ECONOMY RULES

The EPA is set to roll back federal fuel-economy requirements that would have forced automakers to increase significantly the efficiency of new cars and trucks. The Jan. 13 decision by the then-President Obama would have required new cars to average 36 miles per gallon. Automakers said the rules would add thousands of dollars to the price of new cars and cost more than a million jobs. (News-Gazette)
