DEEP FREEZE WIPES OUT #FRUIT CROP

#Agriculture officials estimate last week’s deep freeze in the southern U.S. could total about $1 billion lost in peaches and blueberries, with South Carolina and Georgia bearing the brunt of the damage. South Carolina’s ag department says about 85% of the peach crop was lost; blueberries in Georgia were but by 80%. (Washington Post)
