Cybersecurity Workshop for Farmers

Keep your data secure and take steps to prevent identity theft with a FREE Cybersecurity Training Workshop March 24 from 8 a.m. to noon at Illinois State University Old Union Room 129A.

Hosted by Dr. Aslihan Spaulding and Dr. James Wolf the hands-on workshop will focus on potential cyber-threats and how to safeguard your personal and business computers. Training includes:

  • How to install anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall technology
  • Password strategies
  • Methods to identify & avoid phishing scams and e-mail fraud

Registration is limited to the first 24 registrants. Registration deadline is March 17, or until space fills. Program will include coffee, tea and pastries in the morning and lunch in Watterson Commons Dining Center. Parking permits will be distributed at the workshop.
