Alabama officials have confirmed bird flu in two poultry flocks, just a week after three commercial breeders had to cull chickens in Tennessee. State veterinarian Tony Frazier said the chickens are under quarantine after testing positive for the disease at a commercial breeding farm near the Mississippi line. The disease also was confirmed in a backyard flock near the Tennessee state line. (New York Times)
