President Donald Trump’s retreat from TPP, and plans to change or break NAFTA, have farmers worried they’ll miss out on new markets and fall victim to added tariffs on American exports to Mexico. “Agriculture is one area that’s truly benefited from NAFTA,” said IFB senior director of commodities Tamara Nelsen. “NAFTA was huge for our state.” IFB estimates that TPP would have added $127 million a year in net ag exports from the state.
