Fitch Ratings Wednesday again lowered Illinois’ credit rating, citing the “unprecedented failure” to OK a state budget and spending which is “far in excess” of what the state is bringing in. The rating settles Illinois’ credit a few levels above “junk” status. Illinois already has the worst rating of any state in the union. (State Journal-Register)
