#Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst called on President Donald Trump to rethink some of his trade policies in a recent editorial in the Wall Street Journal. Hurst defended NAFTA, saying the trade agreement has increased U.S. agricultural exports to Mexico from $4.2 billion in 1994 to $18 billion in 2015. “…the vibrant international market for soybeans may become a victim of President Trump’s approach to trade,” Hurst said. “This would be a shame, given how strongly American farmers have supported Mr. Trump.”
