President Donald Trump Monday fired acting Attorney General of the U.S. Sally Yates after she publicly questioned the constitutionality of his refugee and immigration ban and refused to defend it in court. Yates, who was a Democratic appointee, said in a Monday memo that she did not believe the order was lawful or in line with the agency’s obligation to “stand for what is right.” (Chicago Tribune)
