@USDA Wednesday launched a program to certify farmland that growers are in the process of switching to organic, allowing farming to sell products raised on that farmland, in accordance with organic guidelines, for high prices than conventionally-grown foods. The certification, and accompanying rise in revenue, should help growers cover the extra costs associated with transitioning to organic farming, making the switch easier. (Reuters)
