MONSANTO, BAYER MEET WITH TRUMP TEAM

Company heads from Bayer and Monsanto said they had a productive meeting with President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday. The two companies, which are currently working to secure a $66 billion merger, met with Trump and his advisers in New York to press their case for the merger. Trump has been critical of other large agricultural mergers, but has not publicly taken a stance on the Bayer-Monsanto deal. (Reuters)
