Business and ag groups are lobbying the Trump transition officials to save the TPP, despite President-elect Trump’s plans to scrap the deal. The groups are arguing that the Trump administration should review, renegotiate and rename the deal, turning it into a Trump initiative to boost U.S. exports. Supporters say the deal will increase jobs and open new markets, as well as position the U.S. as a trade leader in the Asian-Pacific region. (Wall Street Journal)
