An Illinois Senate plan to end the two-year budget standoff could get a vote in Springfield as early as today, according to Republican Sen. Pamela Althoff. Bruce Rauner’s agenda, faces an uphill battle as there are just two work days remaining for the current General Assembly and leaves no time to seek a House vote. (Pantagraph)
