STUDY TALLIES ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF #GMOs

A recent study out of the University of Virginia shows the widespread use of GMO crops has led to a reduction in insecticide use, but a spike in herbicide use. The study, the most comprehensive analysis to date, compiled and analyzed the growing methods of 5,000 soybean and 5,000 born farmers in the U.S. from 1998 to 2011. (UPI)
