A DECADE LATER, NO CONSENSUS ON RFS

More than 10 years after Congress passed the Renewable Fuels Standard, there is still no clear consensus on whether the mandate has delivered on its lofty promises, – according to the New York Times. Supporters of the mandate say it’s one of the best policy decisions to come out of Washington, bolstering farmers, the economy,  and cutting greenhouse gas emissions, but opponents say the RFS is simply a special-interest boondoggle that costs taxpayers billions all while doing more harm to the environment.
