TRUCK DRIVERS MUST ELECTRONICALLY RECORD HOURS

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration released a rule yesterday that requires an estimated 3 million commercial truck and bus drivers to electronically record their hours behind the wheel in an effort to prevent fatigue. Drivers had been required to keep paper logs, but investigators and safety advocates have long complained that it’s easy to change paper logs.
