President Barack Obama signed into law yesterday a sweeping bipartisan education bill that makes some of the most significant changes in federal education policy in more that an decade. The Every Student Succeeds Act replaces the 13-year-old No Child Left Behind law, returning to the states powers to determine how poorly performing schools should be improved and curbing the authority of the U.S. Department of Education.
