DOW, DUPONT TALKS PLACE FOCUS ON AGRICULTURE

The potential merger of DuPont Co. and Dow Chemical Co. could spur agricultural rivals to forge their own partnerships. The deal announced this morning is being billed a merger of equals, to be called DowDuPont. The plan calls for DowDuPont to be split into three companies, one focused on materials, one on agriculture and the last on specialty products.
