The backlog of utility bills the state owes the Springfield’s electric utility continues to grow but there aren’t any plans to cut off service at this time. Two accounts at the state complex are at $2.9 million, which includes summer peak usage months. Other towns and utilities are starting cut-offs at state facilities.
