Federal Aviation Administration held a seminar on drones this week in Springfield. FAA district safety inspector Stanley Swank told a group of approximately 75 local officials that rules should be finalized in the summer of 2016. Airport safety, enforcement and privacy are all issues for the agency, which drew 4,500 public comments this year on draft regulations for “unmanned aircraft systems.”
