McLean County’s corn yields are expected to be 9% higher than the five-year average, but lower than last year’s record-setting crop. Ross Perkins, a farm manager with Soy Capital Ag Services in Bloomington, estimates the average corn yield in McLean County at 193.05 bushels per acre. This crop will be 13% lower than last year’s 222.6 estimated bushels per acre, as reported by the Pantagraph.
