TV VIEWERS – Pew Research released its annual State of the Media report today. It shows most traditional media finally stabilizing after years of decline. Cable news channels are still losing viewers, but local TV saw small increases in viewership.

ONLINE RADIO GROWS – As for radio, Edison Media research says fully 33% of Americans reported listening to online radio “in the last week” in 2013, up from 29% in 2013. In addition, online radio listening in cars (long a stronghold of AM/FM radio) rose to 21%, from 17% in 2012.

DIGITAL NEWS STILL STRONG – The vast majority of Americans now get news in some digital format. In 2013, 82% of Americans said they got news on a desktop or laptop and 54% said they got news on a mobile device.
